As part of my ongoing Project for Individual Excellence, I try to consume new information and material every day and read at least 3 books per month. The books I am reading for June (with some overlap from the end of May):

The Obstacle is the Way (Ryan Holiday) — Holiday’s attempt at business/self-help applications of Stoicism. Holiday tries to provide actionable mindsets and items that you can internalize whenever faced with major obstacles in work and life.

Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience (Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi) — The popular adaptation of academic work on “flow,” or the mindset of optimal experience.

The War of Art (Steven Pressfield) — A brief work of nonfiction by novelist Steven Pressfield about overcoming what he calls “Resistance” and accomplishing your goals and tasks.

I’ll recap each work as I finish them in order to give a fair review. Like most popular books, don’t be surprised if I say they could simply have been blog posts.
